Born and raised in India, Meenakshi moved to the US as an accompanying spouse in 2008. Meenakshi’s lived experience is all about hyphenated identities and a non-linear career. Having had to start from scratch at least three times in her career, she’s a natural at navigating through uncertainty and ambiguity. She thrives at intersections, particularly at the intersection of People, Business, and Technology. She brings a unique, outside-in perspective to everything she does, and those she serves.

Meenakshi speaks four languages and has lived and worked in 10+ cities in India and the US. She’s had first-hand experience in being that mid-senior level leader who is always asked to do more with less. She’s done the double duty of figuring out how to fulfill her own learning and growth needs while still supporting that of those she served. As someone who speaks English as an additional language, she realized that she’s had to constantly code switch to keep up in a culture that’s different from her own. She also noticed that the emotional labo(u)r that folks like her have to put in in predominantly English-speaking corporate environments, is hardly ever acknowledged or talked about!

This is why she founded NorthStar Solutions and Services LLC – to support mid-career technology leaders, particularly those whose speak English as an additional language, thrive at the intersection of People, Process and Technology. She partners with them in shifting FROM Transactional TO Transformational Leadership, in finding creative ways to engage and inspire their virtual/hybrid teams, and in unpacking the power of "slowing down to speed up". 

Meenakshi meets you where you are – location wise and otherwise – through her virtual 1:1 and team coaching, mentoring, and training services. She also consults with small-medium sized technology companies in designing and delivering personalized learning programs for their mid-career leaders.

Notable annual events hosted by her include The Annual “World of Work” Virtual Conference, and “Building My Runway” – a Global Mentorship program for mid-career Women in Technology. She is also the host of two livestream shows: Exploring Intersections, and The NorthStar Café, that are available on LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.

Meenakshi holds a BS in Physics, and an Executive MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Management. She and her husband live in Virginia, USA, and have family in Australia, India, Thailand, and UAE.
